When I was in China working on a project, I sometimes went to the karaoke to sing Chinese songs. The reason I started to sing Chinese songs is to learn the Chinese language, but it used to be very natural for me.<\/div>\n
I still like to sing Chinese songs.But because of local limitations, it’s difficult to find a well-equipped karaoke place with Chinese songs. If you have a chance to stay in China for a business trip or studying, I recommend you to learn at least one or two Chinese songs. I\u2019d like to introduce 8 songs which are popular in karaoke.<\/div>\n

1. \u670b\u53cb(Peng You, meaning ‘Friend’)<\/strong>
\nThis song was originally sung by a Korean singer-Ahn Jae-Wook. It’s easy to sing and the message is appealing to the audience. Middle-aged men often choose this song as their favorite. It’s a little bit old and maybe too common.

2. \u8001\u9f20\u7231\u5927\u7c73(Lao Shu Ai Da Mi, meaning ‘Mouse likes Rice’)<\/strong>
\nIt was a mega-hit song. It\u2019s easy to sing and the words are easy to pronounce.

3. \u7ae5\u8bdd(Tong Hua, meaning ‘Children’s Story’)<\/strong>
\nIt’s a one of Guang Liang(\u5149\u826f)’s most popular songs. It is more sentimental compared to other recommendations. The song is about feeling for a woman loves from childhood. This lovely lyric is emotional and touches the heart that many women like.

4. \u540e\u6765(Hou Lai, meaning ‘Later’)<\/strong>
\nIt is a very famous song by Liu ruo-ying(\u5218\u82e5\u82f1). I like her delicate songs, but it can be difficult for men to sing her songs.

5. \u4eca\u5929\u6211\u8981\u5ac1\u7ed9\u4f60(Jin Tian Wo Yao Jia Gei Ni, meaning ‘Today I’ll Marry You’)<\/strong>
\nThis is a lovely duet sung in a playful mood. Lyric is sweet and it is about a young couple’s hope for their newlywed life. It’s not appropriate for middle-aged people who are already married. I think the song is for young people. For your information, there is another song with a similar title, Zhou hua-jian(\u5468\u534e\u5efa)’s \u660e\u5929\u6211\u8981\u5ac1\u7ed9\u4f60(meaning ‘Tomorrow, I’ll Marry You’). Don\u2019t\u2019 be confused with that song. The lyrics and melody are totally different.

6. \u6708\u4eae\u4ee3\u8868\u6211\u7684\u5fc3(Yue Liang Dai Biao Wo De Xin, meaning ‘Moon Represents My Heart’)<\/strong>
\nThis song is the oldest song from my list of recommendations. It has various revival versions, but I like the original version. This song was used as the OST in the famous Hong Kong movie, ‘Almost a Love Story’. It goes with the saying that \u2018there is no age for a good song\u2019. The song is OK for oldies.

7. \u5341\u5e74(Shi Nian, meaning ‘Ten years’)<\/strong>
\nIn retrospect, this song is the first song that I learned in China. Despite the great melody and lyrics, it became a hit more than ten years after the release. Keep in mind that the air of the song is placid and even solemn. It might not be appropriated in a cheerful mood.

8. \u60c5\u975e\u5f97\u4ee5(Qing Fei De Yi, meaning ‘Inevitable Love’)<\/strong>
\nThis song became famous in Taiwan after it was used as the theme song of a very famous TV drama, ‘Meteor Garden(Liu Xing Hua Yuan)’. It is has a cheerful and upbeat tempo.

The fact is, it is difficult to choose songs among a lot of good songs. I’ve picked out the steadily-loved songs. But if you want a list of more trendy songs, I recommend you search through the music section in Baidu or Yahoo China. Especially, I like Wang Li-hong, I think there are more trendy and gentle songs such as ‘Kiss Goodbye’ and ‘\u7231\u7684\u5c31\u662f\u4f60(Ai De Jiu Shi Ni, meaning ‘All I love is You’). And if you are interested in Chinese songs, ‘\u6b4c\u66f2 TOP 500’ of Baidu (http:\/\/list.mp3.baidu.com\/top\/top500.html) is also a great website to check out.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
