I needed a new audio player. So I have browsed a lot of players via websites. And I’ve chosen two models of Yamaha. They are economic. According to Amazon.com, MCR-04o is $279.95 and TSX-130 is $299.95. When I saw the picture from websites, I liked TXS-130. But I’ve changed my decision after the visit of Apple store where these devices have been displayed.

These two models have various functions from alarm to FM radio. They also support multi-input system such as CD, USB and iPod(including iPhone). Because I have iPod, Yamaha would be more preferable.
Speculations of these devices are almost same. 15W(6ohm) for each speaker and base replex system. The difference between two audio players is size of a speaker and a deck. The unit size of 040 is 10cm while that of 130 is 8cm. The more important thing is that the sound quality of 040 is better than that of 130. This is private opinion but my friends agree with mine. We listened music via two devices at a same time. Normally unit size doesn’t affect the quality of sound but there is something different.As 040 is composed of 3 parts, a main part and two speakers, it is so flexible to be devide that is more convenient to display on a table. But if you consider portability, 130 would be better(entire size of a player is small compared to 040).
Finally, I ordered MCR-040. In my opinion that I’ve used for 2 weeks, I’m totally satisfied with its sound quality and usablilty.
