Check-in is not a simple function. After the continuous launch of LBS with check-in, LBS has made a turning point of LBS services. And ‘Foursquare’ is the representative example of these services. Even Facebook released ‘Places’ which has implemented chech-in. Based on this, Facebook will provide the service as a marketing tool.

Gowalla is also the charming LBS provider. The company has had a partnership with Walt Disney, and is providing a very interesting commercial service. It uses its advantages such as stamp and check-in. People who visit Disney land use their Gowalla applications. The company tries to get more concrete business model. It enables customers to increase the loyalty or buy more products via inducing a frequent visit.
