What Defines A Service in The AI Era

After the emergence of conversational AI, people can now understand its potential and how it can evolve.
The interesting part is that it is challenging to define a new technology without a representative case.
As Henry Ford and Steve Jobs have said, people generally ask for known needs rather than unknown needs.
Until the iPhone appeared, there was no demand for a smartphone, even though some early adopters used mobile phones that could connect to the internet.
Even now, it is difficult to provide a clear definition of what a smartphone is, and several sentences are required to describe it accurately.
New services share similar characteristics with smartphones.

So, what can help clarify a new technology or service?
As a service planner, I am currently working on a project that will be provided as a new-tech based agent service.
Throughout the process, I have faced challenges in defining the service we are planning and how people perceive it.
However, providing a clear description of the service in just a few words is very difficult.
Furthermore, this question constantly lingers in our minds and even changes the direction of the project, which was originally too ambitious to be realized.

As we know, a simple concept is crucial for users to adopt a service.
However, the problem arises at this point.
The real problem and goal that we need to address are something new, not just incremental enhancements, but groundbreaking ideas.
We understand what chatGPT is not because it is defined as something, but because we use it.
Different experiences define what the service is.

What we need to focus on is how to create a unique experience and clarify our starting point for this primary issue.
Once we define the experience we want to innovate, the key question becomes how to approach the goal.
Using the same approach and technologies will not change the user experience.
That is why we need to change our way of thinking and explore new technologies to implement our ideas.
With that being said, being more creative and innovative is essential to deliver the right solution in the market, rather than spending time structuring a service concept and strategizing a plan.
