People want to use WiFi service, but they don’t want pay for it. This dilemma is continuing. But Skype pays for the usage of public WiFi for the period of the first Internet Week Europe Festival(8~12 November). And it would be restricted in UK.
Recently a lot of devices with WiFi show, but WiFi is provided for strategic reason which it enables users to be locked in a telecommunication service or to upsell wireless service packages. Though WiFi is very useful and complement of 3G, the coverage of WiFi is unsolved problem under this situation.
For now some changes are occured. Like Facebook, some players are destroying the barrier between offline and online. It means connectivity is increasing via mobile network. This try would be a commercial service or mobile payment which are attached to the office-automation and m-CRM.
Offline many shops may install WiFi hotspots or change their payment system to an integrated POS combining NFC payment + WiFi hotspot. At that time it would be a turning point for WiFi environment.
