Acer, the 2nd PC manufacturer in the world, has released the series of tablet PCs. These tablet PCs support Windows7 and Android.
Price would be key to succeed in this newly booming market. Especially as the former case of Folio 100 in England, high speculation with an expensive price is difficult to grab a customer’s attention. Acer has not decided the price of devices.
Now, a tablet PC market is set up as a rivarly paradigm between iPad and others. It means that other companies’ tablet PCs are not influenced to users and iPad has a major portion of this market. Similarity with iPad might be poison for late comers.
In this context, Samsung’s Galaxy Tab with 7″ is a nice try. But really interested device is RIM’s PlayBook with 7″.
As Apple has showed us that a tablet PC is totally different with a laptop, it would be better for competitors to make a newly-differentiated function which enhance usablility of entertainment and media.
