As cloud computing began to recieve alot of interest, N screen and sync also became a highlighted issue. But still various functions on cloud computing are needed to enhance their usability and mobility. For example, Google Docs gives a perfect editing and sharing service feature to users. So does Picasa.
But those services have to consider one more key factor to make a sustainable business model. I think social networking can complement this weakness by making services more active.
One of the most representative services is Instagram. It helps people to post their photos and keep in touch with one another. But it lacks several functions such as photo editing. Instagram efficiently activates its service via its photo-following scheme.
The other case is Spotify. It’s a music service which enables a user to create a personalized playlist and share it with friends based on Facebook connection. Due to the problem of copyright, the service is only provided in Europe at the moment.
When social networking services emerged a few years ago, it was focused on personal networking itself. Afterwards, the service has evolved to other types which are related to additional functions and specific categories. If one thinks about a new service, it needs to consider relational factors around a user.
