Some onlice travel companies are opposing Google which is trying to aquire ITA, the airline ticketing company. Expedia.com, Kayak.com, Farelogix.inc, Sabre Holdings which owns travelocity are the alliance against the deal. They insist that if Google aquires ITA, it could control other travel companies’ usage of ticketing service.
But it’s little difficult that the deal is against the antitrust problem. Google has already set up various maps and POIs. If it combines the ticketing services and its search engine, it would be easier that broadens a service area.
